Statement

Without consciously choosing it, my work interprets loss. Not always the heavy, grief-sticken moments -- but the near imperceptible ways time passes, people change, a day ends, and memories haunt. That these can be imperceptible adds to the punch of such loss, because you might want to notice before something is gone. Noticing, tracing lends some comfort that you might be able to find your way back. Or understand how you came to be where you are. Often what's left are filaments so fine that if you tried to make any real sense of them, they'd be lost forever.
